Disney+ to Debut Galaxy’s Edge Walkthroughs for Star Wars Day

In celebration of May the Fourth, Disney+ is offering fans a new way to experience the galaxy far, far away—without leaving home.

According to reports from Laughing Place and Comicbook.com, Disney+ will debut immersive POV walkthrough videos of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the beloved theme park land set on the planet Batuu. While Galaxy’s Edge has captivated visitors at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, many fans have yet to visit Black Spire Outpost in person. These new videos aim to bring the experience to viewers worldwide.

The first video will guide fans through Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge after dark, offering an eerie, atmospheric tour of the outpost with only droids, characters, and patrolling stormtroopers populating the streets. It promises a rare, cinematic look at the richly detailed Star Wars land like never before.

Also releasing on May 4 is a full ride-through of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the groundbreaking attraction where guests join the Resistance, are captured by the First Order, and embark on a thrilling escape featuring appearances by Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, and General Hux.

Disney has not yet confirmed if Smuggler’s Run, the Millennium Falcon-themed ride, will receive a similar video. However, that attraction is expected to receive an update tied to the upcoming film Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in 2026. More news is expected during this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan.
